The responsible money mark

What is a Good Egg?

A Good Egg is a mark (registered trade mark) that can only be used by financial services companies that are able to prove they make a positive impact, not just by improving the lives of customers, but by benefiting society and the environment, too.

Look for a Good Egg if you want to have a savings account, insurance policy, investment fund or mortgage from companies that do the right thing.

See our list companies that have earned a Good Egg.

Overview of criteria and process

The Good Egg is awarded to organisations that meet our criteria and pass through the multi-stage application process.

The three types of impact are:

  1. Industry/customer
  2. Environmental
  3. Social

So if your bank, savings, insurance or investment provider displays a Good Egg, you can be sure it is making a positive impact on the world – as well as in the lives of its customers.

Companies apply for a mark by answering a series of questions. Applications are assessed by Ethical Screening, a specialist consultancy, which puts together a report. This report is reviewed by a panel of industry experts before a final decision is made.
